Explore the craft of songwriting! This course will play with writing prompts and word exercises to open the door to new songs. Songwriters will share new material in-the-round and invite constructive, positive feedback from one another. We'll consider how melody and arrangement support our lyrics to forge an emotional connection with our listening audience. Bring your own guitar or keys but leave your ego at home for this 4-week course facilitated by 安德拉 Hunter. Recommended reading: How to Write One Song, by Jeff Tweedy.

安德拉 has written songs and played guitar for more than 30 years. She has been in bands, duos, trios and has performed as a solo act. 安德拉's most musically ambitious decade was '97-'07 while part of the duo 安德拉 & 黛利拉. Based in Santa Barbara, the duo played hundreds of shows each year, 巡回美国, and recorded four albums of original music. 安德拉 & 黛利拉 were voted Best Santa Barbara Band five years in a row. They met during a songwriting workshop with Jim 墨西拿 (Loggins & 墨西拿, 少, Buffalo Springfield) who not only suggested they sing together, but invited the duo to tour with him as an acoustic trio. 安德拉 & 黛利拉 accompanied 墨西拿 on percussion and guitar while singing lush, three-part harmonies. 安德拉 & 黛利拉 performed with Jackson Browne, 肯尼Loggins, Michael McDonald, 格雷厄姆·纳什, Jeff Bridges and more. 今天 安德拉 lives in Flagstaff with her family and is writing and recording new songs, attending and facilitating songwriting workshops, and teaching guitar at her daughter's middle school.
